Magadha


The kingdom of Magadha, was an ancient kingdom situated in present Bihar state. First reference of Magadha comes in Mahabharata which states that it was founded several centuries before by a king named Brihadratha. It was the capital of many dominant Empires in India including Maurya Empire.
